Mogwai - Hunted by a Freak (Live)
I’ve been listening to Mogwai’s live album Special Moves a lot lately, and have really been digging it. What I find most interesting about it is that it takes tracks from the band’s two latest and arguably weakest albums (especially 2008’s The Hawk is Howling, which I’ve never really been able to get into, unlike the preceding album Mr Beast which was my first exposure to the band - so it has a special place in my heart despite its flaws) and folds them into a really cohesive set.
Would love to see them live. I should have caught them a couple of weeks ago in Glasgow since all the prices I’ve seen for flights have been quite reasonable.
Ah, well. Next time.
